Current Projects: Tulane eNotes
Tulane eNotes is a course recording pilot program intended as a teaching and learning aid for the modern classroom. Participating eNotes instructors record the audio portions of their class lectures, and instructional technologists from Tulane’s Innovative Learning Center convert the recordings to portable MP3 files for posting to the eNotes Web site. With eNotes, students have 24/7 access to timely course content.
The eNotes pilot program began in the Fall of 2006 with eight courses and more than 700 students. During that time more than 120 course lectures were recorded and posted to the eNotes Web site. The pilot continues with the Spring 2007 semester.
The eNotes pilot program also incorporates other Tulane coursecast initiatives such as IT Horizons (professional development series) and Tulane’s iTunes U (course audio podcasts).
Instructors interested in participating in the eNotes pilot, or learning more about the initiative can write to enotes@tulane.edu.
