Current Projects: NMC 2007 Regional Conference
The New Media Consortium (NMC) is an international consortium of nearly 200 leading colleges, universities, museums, corporations, and other learning-focused organizations dedicated to the exploration and use of new media and new technologies. Membership to the consortium is highly selective. Tulane applied and was accepted to join the NMC in 2001 and has been an active member ever since.
Throughout the year the NMC sponsors numerous events for its membership, including a Regional Conference focused on specific topics of new media scholarship. Tulane University has been selected as the host for the upcoming NMC Regional Conference to be held November 7-9, 2007.
The conference is expected to draw scholars and presenters from across the nation. Conference activities will take place in and around the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life on Tulane’s campus.
