The Tulane Faculty Symposium on Digital Trends is a series of events designed to encourage dialogue within the faculty community on technology topics. Lectures, talks by industry leaders, workshops, informal discussions, a listserv, and more will be a part of this ongoing symposium.

• Integrating the Classroom: A Study in Teaching with Technology -
  April 17th, 2008 - ILC, 1:30 pm - Susann Lusnia
  Image collections and audio files can enrich the learning environment
  and provide students with study resources for use outside of the
  classroom. Adding visual or audio components to myTulane can be
  relatively easy to do. In this Digital Trends seminar, you'll learn
  what's needed to produce a basic podcast, how to prepare images for
  use in PowerPoint, and easy ways to customize your myTulane course
  pages.

• E Pluribus Unum: Dialogue, Engagement, and Collaboration through Wikis - February 21st, 2008 - Joe Letter will discuss his experiences using Wikis in his writing classes. Come learn how to integrate these new tools into your lectures.

• Second Life - September 25, 2007 - Learn more about Second Life, the internet-based virtual world, and its applications for teaching and learning.
• Podcasting - October 23, 2007 - An exploration of the educational uses of Podcasting and Coursecasting at Tulane and elsewhere.
• Blogs and Wikis - November 14, 2007 POSTPONED - Are blogs all they're cracked up to be? How can they be leveraged in and out of the classroom? How can wikis stimulate exploration and learning?
