Highly sensitive personal data and financial information were compromised in one of the largest data breaches in history. On September 7, 2017, Equifax revealed a breach of its systems. If you have a credit history, there is a good chance that you are one of the 145.5 million American consumers whose personal information was exposed. Names, Social Security numbers, birth dates and other sensitive information were all part of this breach.
We are sorry to announce that our beloved co-worker Gary Valence passed away on August 3, 2017. Gary served as an application developer for Tulane Technology Services working on payroll, benefits and employment systems since 1990. Gary was a colorful character with many friends. He wore many hats during his 27-year tenure and was always willing to assist when needed. He enjoyed fishing, football; LSU and the Saints, casinos, and mostly spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Technology Services will be upgrading the university’s Pharos print server on Monday, June 12 from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm CST. This is a critical upgrade that is necessary for security purposes and to enable important new features.

Technology Services will be upgrading the Uptown and SoM General Pool classroom lectern PC’s to Windows 10 starting in May 2017 after exams are completed. The majority of this work will be completed before summer classes have started. This is a critical update which is necessary for security purposes and to maintain application compatibility. For most users, this will be a minimal transition.
