Wireless Access

Tulane's wireless network is a dedicated resource for Tulane students, faculty, and staff.

From your wireless setup, connect to the wireless network by selecting ‘tulane guest’ and entering your Tulane used id ( and password when prompted. Follow the prompts to initiate a connection to Eduroam.  Detailed configuration information for specific devices and operating systems and more information on Eduroam, see our Knowledge Base article here:

Authentication to Eduroam allows Tulane students access to wireless networks on other participating college campuses as well.

If you are unable to connect your device to Eduroam, contact the TSNOC at

Uptown: (504) 862-8888 or ext. 8888

Downtown: (504) 988-8888 or ext. 8-8888

or write for assistance.

Locations and Restrictions

There is wireless coverage throughout the Uptown and Health Sciences Center campuses. All common areas and classrooms offer Wi-Fi as well as all residence hall rooms and common areas on the Uptown campus. Residence halls on both campuses offer one Ethernet connection for each occupant.

Students are not allowed to use routers to broadcast personal wireless networks. These rogue networks can interfere with the primary wireless network.

Students are not allowed to operate wireless printers. USB cables are available for purchase at the Technology Connection in the Lavin-Bernick Center.

Devices that cannot take a username and password such as AppleTV,  Roku, Playstation, older Kindles, and smart TVs must be registered to use the “Tulane” wireless network. Call the TSNOC at (504) 862-8888 or ext. 8888 to register your device.
